Together, we can make a bigger impact! Human trafficking is happening right here in the Triangle. Every day we unknowingly walk past someone who is at risk of being exploited, being manipulated into an aspect of human trafficking, or is involved in trafficking another human being.
Many local aesthetic entrepreneurs, providers, and leaders are joining in collaboration to host a cocktail-attire gala event, Awareness Through Aesthetics. The hope of this event is to raise awareness on this issue and funds to help support two local non-profits that work to improve the lives of those affected by human trafficking and who are at risk – the two non-profits that have been chosen are Designed For Joy and Shield NC.
Join Us on Thursday, March 12, 2020
The 2020 Awareness Through Aesthetics event will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2020, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Raleigh’s Union Station. With the purchase of each guest ticket, one drink ticket is included for a beer or glass of wine of your choice. Additional beer and wine tickets will be available for purchase. The event concludes at 9:30 p.m. when each guest will depart with a swag bag!
What to Wear
No black tie required unless that’s what you want to wear! Festive cocktail party attire is encouraged and of course, we’ll have complimentary coat check available. Don’t forget your dancing shoes!
Arrivals & Departures
Raleigh Union Station is located at 510 W. Martin Street in Downtown Raleigh. Nearby paid hourly parking is available in The Dillon (just a short walk across the street), but if you’re going to enjoy a few libations, we highly encourage you to select a ride-sharing service such as Lyft or Uber and set “Raleigh Union Station” as your destination so you can get dropped off and picked up right at the door!
Thank you, to our Fearless Leader, Jennie Kowaleski
Jennie envisioned this collaborative event over a year ago and has worked hard for months to make it a reality. What started as an idea with friends around her kitchen table has turned into the development of this event. She has put together an incredible group of sponsors that we are so excited to work with. We look forward to seeing you there!
